PHS Sd Variable Plus Membrane is a triple layer fabric, high performance membrane, made from non-woven PP fabric.

PHS Sd Variable Plus is a robust airtight membrane with a variable Sd value. It’s reinforced mesh material is designed to create an airtight barrier within the home. With variable diffusion resistance, this membrane can adapt diffusion rates depending on the environment. The membrane creates an airtight layer that dynamically adjusts based on the humidity of the environment, preventing condensation build up and moisture damage. PHS Sd Variable Plus is highly recommended for flat roof builds and retrofits.

Application

Lay the membrane so that the printed side is facing the fitter.

The membrane should be applied perpendicular to the direction of the application surface i.e. studs, rafters and joists,
The membrane should be fixed with staples every 150mm or with PHS Double Sided Tape,
PHS Argo Joining Tape or a suitable PHS Grommet should be used for penetrations,
For bonding barrier overlaps, penetrations and repair spots, PHS Argo Joining Tape or a similar tape is recommended,
For connections co concrete or masonry PHS Internal Adhesive Sealant is recommended,
Ensure there is a 100mm overlap of the membranes and tape with PHS Argo Joining Tape or another suitable tape.
