The PHS Foam Gun + Cleaner Kit comprises of a professional metal foam gun and organic solvent cleaner for use with gun grade PU expanding foam. The PHS Foam Gun is for use with PHS Airtight Foam, but may also be used with other brands of expanding foam. PHS Foam Cleaner removes fresh polyurethane foam and is formulated especially to clean the gun adapter after application.

Application

Usage Guide:

Important: Wear protective glasses and gloves when using these products. 

 

Using the PHS Foam Gun with PHS Airtight Foam:
  1. Ensure the Release Valve is turned to the OFF position.
  2. Shake the PU aerosol and prepare the area as directed on the aerosol can, then screw securely onto the threaded Inlet.
  3. Set the flow volume using the Regulator Dial. Turn clockwise to reduce flow and anti-clockwise to increase flow.
  4. For detailed work, attach a plastic nib to the ribbed Nozzle.
  5. When ready to spray, turn the Release Valve to the ON position.
  6. Slowly press down on the Trigger to apply the spray foam.
  7. When finished spraying, turn the Release Valve to the OFF position and turn the Regulator Dial all the way clockwise.
  8. The aerosol can now be unscrewed from the Inlet. The aerosol valve and foam gun should be cleaned immediately to prevent foam curing.

 

Cleaning the PHS Foam Gun:
  1. Using PHS Foam Cleaner, shake can as directed, then unclip the flat cap, detach the Cleaner Nozzle from its gate and secure onto the Cleaner Aerosol Valve.
  2. Scrape away excess uncured foam where possible, then spray PHS Foam Cleaner on the exterior of the foam gun, aerosol can, clothes and other surfaces, and wipe clean with a lint free cloth.
  3. CAUTION: May damage plastic and other sensitive surfaces.
  4. Next, clean the interior of the foam gun. Remove the Cleaner Nozzle and clip into its seat.
  5. Follow instructions “Using the PHS Foam Gun with PHS Airtight Foam”
    to attach PHS Foam Cleaner aerosol can.
  6. When ready to spray, turn the Release Valve to the ON position.
  7. Press the Trigger to flush the cleaner through the gun with several short shots for at least 5 seconds.
  8. Rest for 15 minutes to allow cleaner to work. Then flush the gun once more.
  9. Turn the Release Valve to the OFF position.
  10. Unscrew PHS Foam Cleaner from the Inlet, replace the flat cap, and wipe the inlet threads clean.
  11. Press the Trigger in once again to make sure there is no liquid remaining in the gun.
  12. PHS Foam Cleaner cannot be used to clean cured foam.
